Scratches usually arent a problem outside of potentially increasing wear as the reader. This also includes things like residues and contaminants that may be attached to the disc. They can damage the drive mechanism or the lens or other parts that are required to read discs. My console is out of warranty and Sony has a pretty shitty and high fixed cost for all repairs over here so for me that's not an option If its physical damage (cracks or chips or whatnot), then definitely. We have tested this method, and it can get. Then, press and hold the PS button again until the light turns white. I really hope it's not a busted ethernet port. Press and hold the PS button on your controller until the system light turns orange. So has anyone encountered the issue? Is there a fix? Is there a chance there might be something wrong with the settings in my router? I've tried with 2 different cable (one of them is new), both of which work perfectly fine with my other devices. So please, before everyone starts saying the same: It's NOT the cable.

I googled the issue and it seems like I'm not the only one with the issue but I've yet to see someone post if there is a solution because 99% of the replies to everyone with the issue is "try another cable", "sounds like a faulty cable". It's not that I'm getting a connection issue, it's that the console is asking me to "please connect a LAN cable to the system" when there already is one.
DAMAGED LAN PROT ON PS4 PS4
Over the past few years I've been playing online via Wifi simply because my router was allways far away from my console.īut recently I moved into a new house and this time I made sure to set up my router right next to my TV/Consoles to finally be able to connect them with a wired connection.īut my Ps4 won't even recognise that there's a cable connected to it.
